The Level 3 Sports Massage course is the industry's entry-level qualification for aspiring sports massage therapists. The Level 3 programme will equip you with the knowledge and skills to apply sports massage therapy techniques, promote recovery, and improve performance.

Assessment Information

This course consists of four practical clinics where you will learn the skills to assess and apply advanced sports massage therapy techniques.


The clinics have been designed so that all your practical assessments are completed throughout the clinics, so there is no requirement for you to return at a later date to complete your assessments.

Pre-Requisites

No formal qualifications required, however, students must be aged 16+, be fit enough to perform massage and able to communicate with clients.

Course Completion

Students study at their own pace so the time it takes to complete the course varies from one student to the next and is dependant on study method and their personal circumstances.


When you enrol, you and your tutor will discuss your available time to study and existing commitments and devise a study plan tailored to your individual needs to help you divide your workload into manageable chunks.


To complete the course, based on 1 hour of study per day, it takes approximately:


Fast Track: 2-4 weeks

Blended: 6-8 weeks


There are 3 practical clinics you must attend as part of this course. Each of the practical clinics will focus on a specific area and cover the skills you need to be a safe, competent, and effective therapist.

    Blended Learning


    Our blended learning option combines online and practical learning by providing students full access to our e-learning platform and unlimited support from our expert tutors, as well as the opportunity to attend regular practical workshops at one of our practical clinic venues.


    Fast Track Learning


    This study method is the ultimate one-to-one learning experience that provides students with a highly personalised and focused approach combining online and face-to-face learning that is tailored to you from enrolment to qualification. Your personal mentor will coach and support you throughout each stage of your course.


    Once you've enrolled, you'll be assigned a personal mentor and are able to communicate with them directly and receive unlimited phone, email and pre-arranged video support. Depending on your course, you will receive up to 4 one-to-one contact days to use as you choose. The contents and arrangements for contact days are agreed between you and your personal mentor and can be online or in person. Contact days can be completed at one of our dedicated centres or your preferred location. For courses that entail a practical assessment, this can be completed within the contact days.
